ON THE RADIO
- Clear Channel owns the current No. 1 station WDCG 105.1 FM "G-105," which features the morning show "Bob and the Showgram," hosted by the oft-controversial Bob Dumas. Another top-10 Clear Channel station, WRVA 100.7 "The River," plays classic rock hits.

- Curtis Media has three other stations in the top 10: Old-timer WPTF 680 AM, a news talk station that carries Rush Limbaugh, WBBB 96.1 FM "96 Rock," and Mexican regional station WYMY 96.9 FM, aka "La Ley."
- Capitol Broadcasting in Raleigh owns WRAL 101.5 FM, an adult contemporary station currently in the lower part of the top 10. Besides owning the TV station WRAL and sister station WRAZ Fox 50, Capitol also owns three other TV stations statewide, and the Durham Bulls baseball team.

WQOK 97.5 FM plays urban hits, and WNNL FM 103.9 "The Light" programs inspirational music and talk. Another Radio One station, Foxy 107 (107.1/104.3 FM) plays urban classics.
