The Orange County Schools district serves roughly 6,500 students who live in Hillsborough and rural Orange County.

The district has two high schools, three middle schools and seven elementary schools. Here are the schools:

High schools: Cedar Ridge High School, Orange High School

Middle schools: A.L. Stanback School, C.W. Stanford School, Gravelly Hill Middle School

Elementary schools: Cameron Park Elementary, Central Elementary, Efland Cheeks Elementary School, Grady A. Brown Elementary, Hillsborough Elementary, New Hope Elementary, Pathways Elementary,
