The tiny town of Rolesville, incorporated in 1837, is one the fastest growing towns in the Triangle.
In 2000, the town had slightly over 900 residents. Town officials expect that number to grow to 11,500 by 2012. Rolesville’s growth is fueled by former farms turned into high-end subdivisions.
Like neighboring Wake Forest, Rolesville is becoming a bedroom community for workers in Research Triangle Park, Raleigh and the rest of the Triangle.

What are the local attractions?

Located 10 miles from downtown Raleigh, Rolesville provides a range of events that characterize the small towns of the Triangle, such as The Fall Festival in October. Rolesville has two parks and recreation sites, a ballfield and a new community park off the town's main street.

What's the history?

Rolesville was named for merchant William Roles, whose store is used today for the town's Meeting Hall and mayor's office. Roles established the first town school, the Rolesville Academy, in 1832.
