The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools serves roughly 11,500 students who live in and around the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

The district has three high schools, three middle schools and nine elementary schools. The tenth one is expected to open for the 2008-09 school year.

Middle schools:Culbreth Middle, McDougle Middle, Phillips Middle, Smith Middle
