Triangle Transit Authority
The TTA is a public agency operated by local governments in the three counties, offering intercity bus service and serves as an umbrella for a low-key effort to build seamless connections between local transit lines in Raleigh, Cary, Durham and Chapel Hil.

Capital Area Transit (CAT)

Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization - the coordinating agency between local governments, NCDOT, and FHWA. The group has established a close working relationship with the planning departments of municipalities within Wake County neighboring MPOs.
