The Triangle provides a range of services to provide older citizens with the support to remain as independent as possible. These include transportation, social networks and health care. Many nonprofits, government agencies and businesses in the Triangle work to meet older people’s needs. Some, notably county social services departments, serve as centralized sources of information and referrals.

Wake County Human Services and Durham County Social Services Web sites have specific information on each adult-care center in their counties.
